OUR STORY

OHOP VALLEY

Nestled in the heart of Ohop Valley in Eatonville, Washington, Ohop Originals is the brainchild of myself and my husband. I am the third generation to live on property originally cleared by Torger Peterson in 1887 who described it as “…one of the worst wilderness that it was possible to find.”

Today Ohop Valley is part farmland, part wildlife habitat and surrounded by towering cedar trees. It is home to all manner of animals including deer, elk, beaver, salmon, otter, muskrat, coyote, Canadian geese, heron, quail and more.

It’s here that we built our home and started reclaiming an acre or more of pasture to turn into a garden. Over the years it’s grown and now houses two ponds, a vintage dump truck a miniature garden, ceramic totems and hundreds of flowers and plants.

I started Ohop Originals to help share this very special place. Our original offering is a subscription bouquet service and will eventually include, garden art, plant sales, events and anything else that helps us share the beauty that surrounds us everyday.

It’s a dream coming true one step at a time. I hope you will take the trip with me and enjoy some wonderful flowers, as well as events and products to come

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide joy and beauty while being awesome
stewards of the planet.

One of the ways we support this mission is by providing gorgeous,
organically grown flowers from June through September. You can recognize an Ohop Original bouquet by its lush garden-style and creative flare.

Every stem in every design has been grown and created with love in the long journey from seed to ceremony.

WHY SEASONAL FARM FLOWERS?

Farm flowers are amazing for so many reasons.

  • Variety. When you buy seasonal flowers off a farm,  you experience varieties you cannot find elsewhere. From spring through fall, something new is budding and
    blooming.
  • Eco-Friendly. When you get a bouquet from a
farm, it wasn’t flown in from another country or preserved with toxic chemicals. Ohop Originals prides itself on a tiny carbon footprint.
  • Freshness. The flowers picked for weddings and events
are often picked the day before or on the day of the event. It doesn’t get much
    fresher than that.
  • Local
pollination. Flowers on local farm also help local pollinators. The wide variety of flowers at Ohop Originals provide habitat for bees, birds and insects, which in turn help keep soil sustainable and healthy.
  • Community. By purchasing from a local grower, you’ll help
them remain in business and support your local economy and community.
